Whitemarsh Township Cancels 4th of July Parade Over Safety Concerns

This year, there will be no Fourth of July parade held in Whitemarsh Township, which is located in Montgomery County. The officials have expressed their regret to the members of the community who have expressed that they were taken aback by the decision.

In light of the findings of the safety review, the officials of the township determined that the parade posed an unnecessary risk to the community’s safety.

That they are unable to adequately protect people from any potential attacks that may occur during celebrations is what they say.

During a meeting that took place on Thursday evening, the Board of Supervisors of the town held a meeting in which the vice char apologized for a lack of transparency, but he continued to support the decision.

A number of members of the community expressed their disapproval of the hasty decision.

The officials have stated that the town would be required to purchase barriers and other equipment with a total value of $250,000.

The authorities have also stated that even if they were to purchase the apparatus, it would not arrive in time for the holiday parade even if they did so.
