A woman is now facing additional charges following a crash last week that resulted in a fatality, according to Greensboro police.
Authorities say 45-year-old Betsabe Cano Santillo was driving a Toyota 4Runner north on Groometown Road at high speed when she crossed the center line and entered the intersection at West Gate City Boulevard against a red light.
Her vehicle struck an eastbound Nissan Versa and then collided with a westbound 1991 Honda Accord.
Santillo, along with the Nissan driver, a passenger in her vehicle, and a passenger in the Honda, were transported to local hospitals with injuries not considered life-threatening.
However, the driver of the Honda, Michael Farrow, sustained life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized.
Santillo was initially charged with multiple traffic violations, including driving without a license, reckless driving, running a red light, driving the wrong way on a divided road, and failing to reduce speed.
After Farrow passed away on Saturday, authorities added charges of manslaughter and misdemeanor death by vehicle.
Santillo is currently being held at the Guilford County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
