Worker dies, other hospitalized after suspected overdose in Carbon County

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, two males who were employed at a pizza business in Carbon County overdosed while they were on the job, and one of them passed away.

Pizza Como USA, located in Mahoning Township on Blakeslee Blvd Dr East, was the location where the Lehington police department was dispatched at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Saturday night.

Police from Mahoning Township arrived on the scene and discovered that both of the male victims were unresponsive. Their colleagues employees were the ones who discovered them.

One of the guys was pronounced dead at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Carbon Campus, where both men were taken after being transferred there.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to the state police, and the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office is making assistance available.
