33-year-old man tased after Foot Chase, arrested by Celina Police

The arrest of a man who is 33 years old and is accused of fleeing from local police officers on foot has taken place.

In response to initial complaints of someone yelling at a woman, the Celina Police Department responded to the 200 block of E. Anthony Street on April 8.

According to a post on social media, when they arrived, they discovered that Zachary Lee Ellis, 33, had a warrant for his arrest for the offence of harassing an individual through the use of telecommunications.

The defendant evaded capture by leading the officers on a foot chase through a number of homes, despite the officers’ best efforts.

It was stated that Ellis went over a fence and was stopped by a taser, according to the Celina Police Department.

To receive medical attention, he was taken to a nearby hospital by the medical staff before being sent to the jail.

According to the online jail records, Ellis is now being held at the Mercer County Jail.

There are other allegations that have been brought against Ellis, including resisting arrest and impeding government business.
