A man’s property appears to be sustained as if by a force field in the midst of brown floodwaters in jaw-dropping footage that was captured during the recent flood in Tennessee.
The improvised levees that the Humphrey brothers constructed were the cause of the seemingly impossible sight.
This is a strategy that they had utilised in the past to survive floods, and it was something that they learnt from their late father.
The farming community in Bogota was severely impacted by floods that occurred the previous week as a result of a significant storm.
In almost the same number of hours, the Obion River rose by nine feet, and it continued to rise until it reached a height that was only five feet short of the record on April 8th.
The house and garden of Justin and Tucker Humphrey, both farmers, were recently the subject of a film that went viral. While many people will have lost everything, the Humphreys’ home and garden could be seen in the footage.
As if it were an island in the middle of a brown sea, the property was there.
Using an excavator to excavate the levees is something that the two of them have done in the past, and Tucker referred to it as “just doing what we have to do.”
They learnt how to do it from their father, and in light of all the hoopla that has been going around on social media, they decided to say that their father would have been proud of them.
“He’d like seeing that,” Tucker stated. “He’d know we were listening when we were kids.”
