A high-speed bride was captured on bodycam film “racing to the altar” when cops clocked her rushed driver hurtling down a Florida highway to bring the late-arriving bride-to-be to her wedding. The driver was attempting to get the bride to her wedding on time.
According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, the bride and her stylish wedding guest told the officers that they were running late to the ceremony when they were captured by an unmarked police car speeding at 105 miles per hour on the Crosstown Parkway in Port St. Lucie on Friday afternoon.
According to the video that was uploaded on social media by the police department, the officer approached the gray Tesla and asked the couple, “Whose wedding is it?” as he approached the vehicle.
The bride, who was dressed in a long white gown and was seated in the passenger seat, declared without hesitation, “It is mine.” According to the video, the driver was wearing a black vest over a white collared shirt throughout the whole incident.
The woman told the officer that she was due to get married in Stuart at 2:30 p.m., but she was stopped several minutes later at 2:42 p.m., according to the film.
In response to the officer’s statement that “You’re already late,” the bride who had been delayed responded with a nervous chuckle and said, “We’re trying to get there.”
Police handed the driver an obligatory court date for speeding and permitted the pair to continue along so the bride could get hitched.
