Over the weekend, police in the Antelope Valley discovered a huge cache of illegal goods during a routine traffic stop, which resulted in a felony arrest.
On Monday morning, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department station shared on Facebook that police had made the unexpected discovery on Saturday.
“During their investigation, they recovered a firearm, two thousand dollars in cash, methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, oxycodone, Xanax, and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD),” the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station stated in the post.
The evidence, which included two sizable bags full of cocaine, several tablets, a stack of cash, and a firearm, was displayed in an image released by the Sheriff’s Station.
The reason for the cops’ initial decision to stop the car was unknown.
A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office acknowledged that a felony arrest had been made, but the identity of the defendant was not disclosed.
“Thank you to our deputies for keeping our community safe and remaining proactive,” the post read.
