Wisconsin plant announce closure and layoffs; company moving operations to Ohio

ProTec Dynatronix, which specialises in thermal and power supply systems, will close its Amery headquarters, laying off 53 employees.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Notification letter issued to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the company’s location at 462 Griffin Blvd will be permanently closed.

The decision to close was made when Process Technology, which acquired ProTec Dynatronix in 2018, consolidates its Wisconsin operations in Mayfield, Ohio.

The closure will result in the removal of 53 workers, comprising 14 salaried and 39 hourly ones. Employees will begin to be laid off on April 28, with the complete shutdown set for September 30.

The organisation has committed to ensuring that employees receive all earned salaries and benefits upon termination.
