A incident that occurred on Friday morning between a car and a semi-truck has resulted in the full reopening of a portion of Interstate 10 that is located west of the Valley.
The collision took place in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Tonopah, close to milepost 100, at approximately 7:45 in the morning. On the video that was captured by the AZFamily news chopper, a sedan can be seen tucked underneath the back of the trailer.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the driver had to be extracted from the vehicle while it was in motion; however, the current state of the individual is unknown. There was no additional injury that was reported.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the westbound lanes of the highway were closed near Wintersburg Road, but they were reopened at approximately 10:30 a.m.
